Regional Municipal Aerial Documentation Initiative — Greater Houston Area

ARES DRONES, LLC is conducting an ongoing Regional Municipal Aerial Documentation Initiative across Fort Bend County and the Greater Houston area. The purpose of this project is to provide high-quality aerial visualization of historic downtown districts, civic cores, transportation corridors, and community-scale infrastructure within key Texas municipalities.

By capturing consistent overhead perspectives across multiple cities — including Huntsville, Rosenberg, Richmond, and surrounding communities — this initiative demonstrates the value of unmanned aerial systems (UAS) for planning support, infrastructure awareness, economic development storytelling, and public communication.

This work is guided by the technical background of founder Michael Fonseca — geologist and FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot — whose scientific training supports a thoughtful, safety-minded, and analytical approach to documenting the interaction between communities, infrastructure, and the natural environment.

The resulting aerial datasets provide a clear visual record of community layout, transportation networks, vegetation patterns, structural density, and regional landscape character — perspectives that are difficult or impossible to achieve from ground level. While certain elements of this project were completed independently for portfolio demonstration purposes, the workflows, procedures, and safety practices used reflect the same professional standards applied to client-directed missions.
